A 30-year veteran communications consultant, Charlie works closely with T&R with his experience in corporate, marketing, military, legislative, non-profit and association public relations and special events.
Charlie served the 4,000-member Medical
Association of Georgia as its first director of public and member relations. Before that, he was public relations manager for Southwire.
Highlights of Charlie's career include:
* Consultant to action teams for the
introduction of new products including
diet Coke, New Coke, Cherry Coke,
Vanilla Coke, Coke Zero, Mello Yello
* Executive producer for induction
programs of the United States Olympic
Hall of Fame and principal liaison for
The Coca-Cola Company with the 700-
member National Sportscaster and
Sportswriters Association as well as
the International Special Olympics
* Project manager for programs
supporting nine Olympic Games, two
World Cups, three Super Bowls and
numerous other international and
national sporting events
* Logistics manager for T&R's
introduction of new product for
Rubbermaid. Supervised three two-
person teams covering 135 markets in
95 days. T&R was named "Agency of
the Year" by Rubbermaid.
* Served as volunteer trip advance staff
member for five sitting U.S. Presidents
Charlie is a graduate of Georgia State
University with a BA in journalism and has earned APR accreditation from The Public Relations Society of America.
With 24 years of active and reserve service as a designated Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Navy/Navy Reserve, Charlie retired recently with the grade of Commander.
